RenderStates

RenderStates are Minecraft's method of holding data to be used when submitting a render task.

GeckoLib extends on these objects by using GeoRenderStates.

What are they

Because rendering now requires that all the information required to render an object be submitted prior to rendering, Minecraft needed a way of holding this information.

RenderStates were created for various object types in Minecraft, and GeckoLib extends on them with GeoRenderState.

GeckoLib creates a new GeoRenderState for each render pass for each object being rendered, and holds all the information required to render that object.

More Information

Going forward, all rendering data will be handled through RenderStates, and you will need to know how to use them.

For more information, see the RenderStates page.
